The Crown Hotel, High Street, Stone; an C18 former coaching inn, which would have been familiar to travellers on the Rugeley & Stone; Stone, Lane End, Blythe Bridge, &tc; Stone, Stafford & Penkridge; Uttoxeter to Stoke & Stone Turnpike Trusts. The Georgian building dates from 1778, and is listed by English Heritage, Grade II*, 386003.
